Dr. David Hankins | June 21

 Our veteran speaker is one requested by many to speak at our Marvelous Mondays and is a passionate preacher and the father to Pastor Eric. Don’t miss Dr. Hankins as he kicks off our Marvelous Mondays. Dr. Hankins is the retired Executive Director of the Louisiana Baptist Convention and Pastor of several southeast churches. Dr. Hankins has authored “One Sacred Effort” which is required reading by every  SBC seminary student as it covers the history of the Cooperative Program. Since retirement Dr. Hankins enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and golf.


Dr. George Ross | Co-Pastor Lakeshore Church, NOLA | June 27

 George Ross is the Co-Pastor of Lakeshore Church in New Orleans.  He is also a SEND missionary there in New Orleans.
Working with Canal Street Church, the North American Mission Board replanted Pontchartrain Baptist Church in 2016. Pontchartrain Baptist closed its doors July 2016 and relaunched as Lakeshore Church in January 2017. Since the launch, Lakeshore Church has grown and thrived as a multiplying church. CoPastoring responsibilities at Lakeshore include directing the NAMB Pipeline Residency and monthly preaching.
SEND North America is a strategic church planting emphasis in 32 metropolitan cities across North America. George serves as a Missionary in New Orleans and has the following responsibilities: 1. Developing and implementing a strategic church planting vision for New Orleans, 2. Mobilizing churches to partner with church planting in New Orleans through prayer, participation, and provision, 3. Coaching existing planters in their church planting journey.
He is married to Joy and they have 6 children: Isaac, Hannah Ruth, Abigail, Jeremiah, London, and Reuben.


Dr. Chuck Kelley | President Emeritus, NOBTS | July 11

 Dr. Chuck Kelley was the 8th President of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, serving from 1996 to 2019. He continues to serve at NOBTS as President Emeritus and Distinguished Research Professor of Evangelism. He is founder and director of Innovative Evangelism as well as an itinerant preacher and evangelist.  Dr. Kelley received his B.A. from Baylor University and his M.Div. and Th.D. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Before his election to the presidency in 1996, Dr. Kelley served as Director of the Leavell Center for Evangelism and Church Growth and Chairman of the Pastoral Ministries Division at the Seminary.  Dr. Kelley is known throughout the Southern Baptist Convention for his dynamic preaching and his expertise on evangelism and church growth.

Since his retirement as President of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary on July 31, 2019, Dr. Kelley and his wife, Dr. Rhonda Kelley, are spending time in their new home in Fairhope, Alabama and in an apartment on the NOBTS campus as they both continue to work with their beloved Seminary and pursue their ministry callings


Dr. Mac Brunson | Pastor, Valleydale Church | July 18

Dr. Mac Brunson, Senior Pastor, Valleydale Church in Birmingham. Dr. Brunson has served in churches all across the south from Texas to South Florida, including First Baptist Dallas and First Jacksonville, FL. During his pastorate at First Dallas the church gave the largest Lottie Moon offering in SBC history, December 2003 of $1.2 million. . He has authored several books and the most recent being “Paralyzed by Fear or Empowered by Hope”. Dr. Brunson has traveled on many mission trips all across Asia. 


Rev. John Baldwin | Retirement Celebration | July 25

 After serving First Fairhope for 33 years and in the ministry for around 40 years, John Baldwin is retiring! And we want to celebrate Pastor John’s ministry. Many of you have been touched by his leadership and lots of you have taken part in the Music Ministry over the last 33 years. There will be more details coming as the celebration event formulates. On this evening, we will come together as a church and community to celebrate this servant and his sweet family!


Dr. Ted Traylor | Senior Pastor, Olive Baptist Church | August 1

 Dr. Ted Traylor, Senior Pastor, Olive Baptist Church. One of our favorite closers for our Marvelous Mondays is Dr. Traylor. His energetic and engaging messages leaves us challenged and ignited for more!

Since 1990 Dr. Ted Traylor has pastored Olive Baptist Church in  Pensacola, Florida. Dr. Traylor’s bold and practical preaching  brings people to a fresh understanding of God’s Word and challenges them  to become bondservants for Christ.

A lifelong enthusiastic sports fan, Ted’s early desire was to pursue a  career in coaching. But at age seventeen, he surrendered his life to  become a preacher of the Gospel. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in  Religion from Samford University in 1977 and a Master of Divinity (1981)  and Doctor of Ministry (1986) degrees from Southwestern Baptist  Theological Seminary.

He is known for his uncompromising stand on Biblical issues and  strong defense of the Christian faith. He has served in the Convention in various leadership roles on both State and National levels. Currently Dr. Traylor is  proud to serve on the Fellowship of Christian Athletes board for the  University of Alabama (Roll Tide!). Dr. Traylor’s family is his proudest accomplishment. He has been  married to his beautiful wife, Liz, for 42 years. They have two  children, Rachel and Bennett, and are enjoying life with their  granddaughters Kathryn and Elizabeth.


Dr.David Eldridge | Senior Pastor, Dawson's Family of Faith | August 8

Dr. David Eldridge began serving as the Senior Pastor of Dawson in September of 2017. David received his Ph.D. in preaching from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2010, Master of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School in 2004, and BA in Christian Studies from Mississippi College in 2001.

David is married to the former Danielle Robertson, and together they have three boys: Hayden, Luke, and Jonathan. Danielle holds a BS in Elementary Education from Mississippi College. She has taught elementary school in both Alabama and Mississippi.

Since the spring of 2013, David has served as an adjunct professor at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. His hobbies include spending time at the ball fields with his boys, running, reading, and rooting for the Chicago Cubs.
